Broken Light, Atjehstaat, Rotterdam

“Broken Light”, is the answer on how a lighting concept can reconquer public space.

Artist and lighting designer Rudolf Teunissen and his firm Daglich & Vorm imagined sidewalks covered by an underwater-like pattern of soft light and building facades highlighted by stripes, in order to merge the horizontal and vertical planes, link architecture with fantasy and create an atmosphere of tranquility in the streets of an ordinary district.
